Berberis thunbergii 'Crimson Pygmy'
Crimson Pygmy Barberry is a low growing deciduous shrub that has very showy burgundy foliage. It is the most popular of the Japanese barberries. The plant can be used for many purposes but it does have thorns so high traffic areas may not be a good location. Under your daughter's bedroom window would be a good place for this plant!
